Ok, just way too much happened in the last little bit to actually make a full coherent post. Here's the short list.
Ok, so the problem after the Drupal 6.2 upgrade is that gurlchecker, as I mentioned now crashes on the Drupal 6.2 site. I dug around at a few different projects, and finally settled on KLinkStatus, since it really appears to be the most active project available, and offers the basic features I need.
It does have some drawbacks, and I may be simply stupid about my robots.txt file, but it doesn't seem to notice them. To get a clean sitemap scan, I had to set it up like this:
KLinkStatus Main Window: KLinkStatus Main Page
And ... this is a disgustingly fragmented blog post. Between the few lines above and now, I have discovered that the behavior of my image uploading is ... different. I'll finish the post (from points above here) when I've got it sorted out.
Ok, there were issues with how I did the upgrade to Drupal 6.2 (particularly with the Image Module; I should be able to blog about it later ... it was very involved). I did some work on it this morning, and apparently, it's fixed ... I guess I'm not sure what I did, but I'm not going to complain ... perhaps I'll just try to do less serious hacking until I have enough coffee in me to actually remember what I did *laugh*.
At any rate, KLinkStatus does everything I need it to do, and with a minimal amount of fuss setting it up. I'm not sure if it will remember the settings, but I'm happy to be able to do the quick scan of the site.
Ok ... time for dinner ... more later.
